U.S. Supreme Court - Executive Jet Aviation, Inc. v. Cleveland, 409 U.S. 249 (1972)
U.S. Supreme Court THE ADMIRAL PEOPLES, 295 U.S. 649 (1935)
[Page 295 U.S. 649, 654] peals in the instant case mistakenly supposed), as our writ was expressly limited to the question raised by the review of the deputy commissioner's finding as to the dependency of a claimant for compensation under the Longshoremen's and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act, 33 USCA 901-950. 285 U.S. 533, 52 S.Ct. 406. We decided simply that the finding of the deputy commissioner, upon evidence, against the dependency of the claimant, was final, and accordingly we directed the affirmance of his order. 286 U.S. 528, 52 S.Ct. 499. See Voehl v. Indemnity Insurance Co., 288 U.S. 162, 166, 53 S.Ct. 380, 87 A.L.R. 245. We think that the libel presented a case within the jurisdiction of admiralty. The decree of the Circuit Court of Appeals is reversed, and the cause is remanded for further proceedings in conformity with this opinion. It is so ordered.
